Yeah, I think we should be quite accepting of our thoughts and feelings and not expect them to be other than what they are. Well that's what I do with mine, but now that I think about what must go on in some people's heads I'm not so sure.
Someone I read said that we should treat our feelings (thoughts?) like an attentive mother.
I think the attention paid to purity of thought, for want of a better way of putting it, is one of the regrettable aspects of Christianity, at least the sort I grew up with.Anyway we can control our actions in ways we can't our thoughts or feelings.
