Hi Crushedout,
>as i recall you haven't even agreed that you were employing a gender stereotype, much less apologized for it, so i don't see how we could have worked this out. but i've said my piece and
frankly, i'm done with it.I agree that indeed I did employ (albeit by using the word 'being') a gender stereotype. At the same time I profusely apologise for using such poor use of an example as to the meaning of the intent of what I meant to say.
It was stupid on my part to use such an example to illustrate what I meant to say as the gender stereotype was indeed quickly gathered from what I said. And indeed gender issues surrounding gays and lesbians is a sensitive issue in the first place and I used it in such an un-wisely fashion.
Seach engines are wonderful things, and in a matter of a few minutes I was able to see that you are a lesbian from a post over in social. Had I had known this before, as in before I had even first replyed to you, I would have not spoke in such a way that I did. What I mean by that, is only that you may be more sensitive to the gender stereotype than others. Of course though that is by no means any defense for me using such a poor use of example in the first place.
I apologise once again for the offense this has caused you.
>i like peace. sometimes the best thing to do to have peace is avoid people who you don't seem to get along with well.
In certain circumstances I agree. I know we have never spoke before this ever occured though before to my knowledge, and so in this set of circumstances I would hate for this to be a reason for us to avoid communicating with each other in the future...
On a general note, I know alot of times there are many disputes that happen here in Administration and PBC's get issued and blocks (only today I saw someone got blocked for a 1 year) I've found that sometimes people (including myself) love to spring to victory in the hope of wining an argument or whatever the original dispute maybe. Of course contructive arguments are indeed a healthy part of life in general. For my own personal use though of this 'Administration disputes' as soon as i'm wrong, i'm going to openly admit i'm wrong just as quick as I would if i'm right and learn from it there.
^ Thats kind of a personal note to myself, but all in all, I'm deeply sorry I offended you crushedout and hope we can still talk again sometime if the need should arise in a postive light..
Best wishes
Nick
