Ouchie :-(

I went to the beach with my family and got the most horrible sunburn on my legs. I put on sunscreen but not enough and not right away. :-( I'm also very fair-skinned. So my legs feel today like they are made of hot glass and it hurts to walk. I already took a cool bath and I've been slathering on the aloe vera gel. Is there some amazing home remedy for sunburn that anyone knows?
