Hi spriggy,
once again, it's another thought-provoking question! Well, I usually use liquid detergent. My favorite brands are cheer, ALL, and Tide. And here's my special technique: I let the little bit of water fill the washer, then I put in the liquid and swish it around, then I put in the clothes.

How about you? What is your favorite brand?
