A car accident

Posted by deirdrehbrt on June 28, 2005, at 20:41:33

Some time ago.... a couple of years ago.... my psychiatrist recommended that I not drive. So what do you do with your car when you can't drive?
It just so happened that my daughter was nearing 16 and I told her that when she was 16 she could have it. I was scared. What if she got into an accident and was hurt? Still, whatever state of mind I was in when I said she could have it, I did say it and didn't want to go back on my word.
I got part of the 'what-ifs' placed squarely in front of my face today. My daughter got into an accident and totalled her -- formerly my-- car. Fortunately she wasn't hurt. So far, I haven't fallen apart. I was very concerned, and the incident will take up some space in my journaling, but I actually seem to be handling this.
Anyway, that's the excitement here.

Dee
