sorry HF I just couldnt resist.. I really dont see it as taboo, But I know that there are alot of people who do.
My thoughts on it are that religion played a role in it and thorugh history has been a private thing, altough not in all cultures. there are some cultures I forget where, where they actually prepare the kids for it starting at 7 or 8. It has just stuck...but i do think times are a changing and sex is quickly losing its association with private.
