Oh I loved reading your posts!! My dog's name is Simba (the kids named him). He is so loyal and eager to please. He isn't allowed on the carpet in the living room, or upstairs in the bedrooms, but when I moved my office upstairs to get more daylight, he now sleeps on the carpet at the entrance to the living room, at the bottom of the stairs to be as close as possible! I'd let him up with me but hubby has allergies and it was a promise when he agreed to getting the dog in the first place. And he (the dog!) knows he isn't supposed to be there so when I come down the stairs, he rolls onto his back like a simp and sucks up for a tummy rub, so I can't get mad at him!! I've given up trying to get him to move over onto his rug (5 inches away) as I can't get over the wonderful way it makes me feel to know how much comfort he gets from being near me. The feeling is mutual, my friend. Sorry - long!!
