Heh heh. Actually it kinda does once you get used to it.

Have a go at this one Ngaruawahia.
I remember learning how to spell that one at primary school (nine girls are rowing under a wharf and here I am)

>Do you call that home, are you an Otorohangan or Otorohanganette?

I guess the first one, though I admit I haven't heard that. It is a very small town but there is a lot of tourist stuff because it is on the main route between Auckland (biggest city) and Wellington (Capital). Na. I am a Hamiltonian. From Hamilton. Bout 40 minutes north of Otorohanga.

>Kiwis are a proud bunch judging from your web site.

Hmm. And you Americans are not??? But yeah, we do pretty well by international standards given our small population.

>Hmmm, tranquilizer guns? I could use one of those when Queen Sheila gets into a rage, say when I fall asleep on the couch and burn the steak on the barbie.

Heh heh.

Hmm. I guess how New Zealanders feel about Australians is probably comperable to how Canadians feel about Americans. From what I can gather anyway.

I guess that we are friendly enough when it comes down to it but there is a surface hostility and bitter bitter rivalry on the sportsfield. Maybe the real friendliness comes of our kinda needing them to defend us when it comes to the crunch. Our national anthem is 'God defend New Zealand' and when it comes down to it God had better (and Australia as well) otherwise we are well and truely screwed. Being a little island out in the middle of nowhere after having sold out airforce and all...

But yeah, I guess there is an Australasian sense of identity too (thats NZ and Australia together). I suppose it comes out most strongly once you meet up with some outside Australasia.
