I had a good stretch of sobriety going and blew it last night. The movie I rented ("I Robot") was lousy (I liked the book better), the beer was skunky, and any euphoria quickly turned to crankiness and self-pity.
Hungover but thankful it's not worse. I threw out about half the beer so I drank less.
I hope to leave Iowa in a couple years when I get out of debt. (long story) This is a cheap place to live. Besides I'm in no shape to travel or make a move. My plan is to live on a beach or lake someday. (I'm semi-retired)
A "trifecta" is a horse or dog racing term - a bet that picks the first three finishers. A trifecta can also mean any group of three. When I wrote (1) "nobody likes me" and (2) "I live like a hermit", I couldn't think of a third.
