Ok, maybe in calling it an 'addiction' it is problematic by definition. But what is wrong with preferring to spend time with people in the virtual world over preferring to spend time with people in the real world?
I mean, I can see how it could be a problem if it interfeares with your real world committments and relationships. But, well if it prevents you meeting new real world people because you can't be bothered as you have company when you want. Well, then what is wrong with that?
