I'm not sure if I was misunderstood. I was offering empathy to Ed in what I thought was his attraction to unattainable straight guys. I'm not romantically interested in straight women.
I think there is some differential to be made between...hmmm...picking terms at whim here...."attraction", and "romantic interest". I might find some young college coed attractive, but not in a million years would I consider her a romantic interest. The same can be said for the peer-aged straight women I meet. Many are attractive...but gratefully, I've never found any of them romantically interesting. No sparks. Phew.
When I have dated women, it was usually bi women cuz they "get me" better.
But by far, my longest relationships have been with men. Who knows what's next. (insert cliffhanger music here)
