If it shows up later on, caught in the pipes you can always pretend the dog knocked it in or something.Although... I also noticed with abusive guy relationships, sometimes I'd just get it over with and say something cause I couldn't stand the tension, it's almost like you know they're going to find something to yell at you about anyway, this way it gives them something, and you can get it over with (it's a really small way of having some control I guess)
