As you can see, many of us are "addicted", each for our own unique reasons. Mine are mainly to stay grounded knowing that I'm not alone, and to learn new stuff about people and treatments.
You may not get over calling the crisis line. I called a few on one horrible night and found that they were staffed with McDonald's application rejects. They didn't know a damn thing about crises; they were just telephone answerers. I got the same advice from all of them: call 911 or go to the ER. Think I wasn't in worse distress after that????
