Funny aside = I did a trip to Croatia during the Bosnian war. We were only about 40 miles from the dangerous zones. I was wakened in the middle of the night by this loud rumbling, and immediately thought of shelling. I was pretty scared till I realized it was the weather. First time I heard thunder in Europe....
