Hi Fallingstar,
Thank you for your post. I tend to post frequently on babble (med board), Admin, this one, and the psych board. Well, I guess I check out almost all of them from time to time. Babble has been a blessing to me.
I feel that I can relate to your having a bachelor's degree and not using it. I have one in nursing and feel like a lot of my info is being forgotten. It's there somewhere. I don't feel like a nurse anyway. I wonder what they feel like? hmmmmm
I have PTSD with dissociation. I am on medications to cope with these symptoms. I can understand about the hubby business too. My first few years were really the most difficult. I found that I had to get my support else where - friends and therapists.
On the med board, there's a babbler named, ace. I see that poster from time to time. He states he has OCD and talks about medication regimens from time to time. Nardil is the stable med for his OCD. (I don't know if ace is a she or he.) I believe he is on others. You can search on Google for posts by ace. But, I have read people taking anything from Amitripaline, Prozac, Lexapro, Klonopin, to Parnate to help OCD. It seems that it's a keep trying to find something that helps reduce the symptoms.
Thats how it is with me. My meds help reduce the magnitude of my symptoms, but not remedy them unfornately. Also, check on this website. www.remedyfind.com for meds for OCD. Good luck to you.
