(ahem). The perfect gin martini:
Keep gin in freezer
recommended: Tanqueray 10 or Sapphire Blue
refridgerate Vermouth - Noilly Prat (only - no substitutes)
have garnish prepared - olive, onion, lemon twist; your choice
Put ice in yer shaker. Add the gin. Add the vermouth. Much less than you'd think - kind of like Tabasco.
Shake for a minute. Note the "martini sweat" on the outside of a metal shaker.
Shake for one minute more.
Strain martini into the suitable glass; add garnish, and serve.

Rinse and repeat.
