Ok, so my encounter with Bean was not quite as passionate as KK's description, but I'll take what I can get.
So I decided against ANY gifts, even a card. I just really couldn't bear the thought of a card swimming around in my file a la the Xmas card fiasco. I thought just a hearty thanks would do.
But I did open in wishing hima happy Canada Day and we discussed our favorite places in Canada. Turns out he loves Toronto as much as I so I have a feeling we are destined to be together at some point :)
I then mentioned that this was a very special day and did he know what it was! No, he did not. I said this is one year to the day when I first saw you! He then said "Happy Anniversary!" and the shook my hand in his usual Bean way, not too hard, not too soft. I could feel how much he wanted me.....
But then we had a really wonderful discussion about how far I have come and how proud he is of me and how much he respects all of my hard work. I then thanked him for helping me, saying there were no words which could adequately thank him. He said the greatest thanks I could give him was to continue to work as hard as I have.
I love me some Bean. We laughed a lot this session (I love those sessions)and had some very intellectual conversation about Catholocism and guilt. I love his mind. And he told me some the rational thoughts I was spewing today were beautiful indeed. I can never get him to look at my boobs, but he says my thoughts are beautiful. I wouldn't trade that for a million dollars...
