I've done the same thing, I've kept the last b/d cards sent b4 my aunt and Dad died.
It's so hard to get rid of things with sentimental value to them.
One thing that they try to teach the people who are on Clean Sweep is that *things* are not memories. Memories are in your head not in things. If you got rid of the *things*, you'd still have the memories. That's how they convince them to purge those items that they're having a hard time letting go of.
