Too much too muchness

My father is in the hospital, and they're going to do a biopsy on a spot they found on his pancreas. Harry quit eating his regular food, although I've been getting him to eat bread, pasta, and donuts. Work is crazy, with some minor changes that probably cause more inconvenience than anything.
But I don't do well with too muchness.
I think my "enthusiasm" was an attempt to divert my attention from everything going on, but that coping mechanism is failing, and I'm getting really really anxious.
