Where I live we get every kind of weather and sometimes all on the same day!! We can have unbearable heat then snow....I have always liked storms except when we get caught out on the river.
I was once in the canoe when a down draft of wind hit our boat and pressed the canoe down into the water (we were within an inch of taking on water)...all the old dead yellow cattail foliage around us got sucked up into the air around us and then came spinning and dancing down around us. It was so exhilerating and yet we could have ended up in the water.
What do I love:
1. the birds
2. being in the canoe
3. biking everywhere
4. sleeping with the window open
5. the sweet smells of the blossoms
6. flowers, the green leaves and grass
7. the sweet promise of the springWhat do I hate:
1. wind that causes white caps on our river
2. ticks, mosquitos, black flies, no-see-ums, green heads
3. looking bad in summer clothes
4. poison Ivy
5. the heat...every kind...I'm already hot
6. Noise pollution goes sky high with: people yelling on the street at night, motorcycles, the smaller street bikes, the over sized trucks, ATV's, motor boats, jet ski...
7. the pollution goes upmy favorite season is winter...I love the feeling of going inside myself, I love the cold, and snow. Everything gets so much quieter. Since the creation of snowmobiles the forest is now way too loud. We used to walk on paths and now the snowmobiles scream past us and leave a trail of pollution for us to breath.
