I'm butting in, if that is OK.
I've been squimish about certain things and was sure when I went to nursing school that I wouldn't be able to handle it. I found that by focusing on how it all fits together and what it does (body parts) that I could handle it all better. I got really good a visualizing other stuff too.
And blood creates such an adreniline rush for me, the FIX IT NOW part, that I reacted, accomplished and threw up later once it was all over. :)
You'll get over it, or learn how to cope. Either way, you are not alone. There is a med student movie I'll get the name of that is great about a student being squimish. I just can't think of it now.
