Hiya ducky.. can i call you ducky? my name is karen. you can call me kk, or karen, or karen kay, or kari, or what ever you like, as long as it's civil. you can also call me uncivil things if you like, but mr. bob doesn't like that and it would most likely result in a pbc (also referred to as a 'please be civil'). those aren't nice to receive. so, perhaps you should stick with calling me karen, or kk, or karen kay, or kari, or anything you like, as long as it's civil.

i don't really listen to classical music. i should, i know i should. i really know i should. alas, i don't. i'm sorry. i'll try very hard to. anything you would suggest?
about being catholic. i'm not. i was raised baptist. i don't practice any religious denomination now. perhaps i should get back into that as well? perhaps another day. i prefer to think that i have my own sort of religion (uh oh!!) that just practices kindness. but, one day i'll yearn for religion and seek one that teaches the morals i believe in. just not today.
about piano. oh wowsa! i love it. i wish i could play piano. my old man (my boyfriend for future knowledge) tired to teach me once and i played 'mary had a little lamb' but that's about as far as i could get. i do have long fingers, so i suppose i could learn. but alas, i have no rhythm. perhaps one day i could learn to play piano as well? oh no! i'm already making so many promises that i may or may not keep! ducky, what i have gotten myself into with you? :)
about nonfiction...what particular authors do you like? there's a wonderful board on here where we discuss books and authors that we really enjoy. it's babble (oh no, now i've forgotten what it's called) but, if you look around, you'll find it. but, you can post there and find all kinds of new authors and books to discuss and read. it's wonderful the discussions we have..
so ducky, i think you'll fit in just fine. in fact, i think you are a wonderful addition to the group. thank you for joining us and we are absolutely THRILLED!!! to have you here... i look forward to learning more about you and possibly taking up piano lessons???? perhaps you can get on me and remind me after finals that i said i would? but, remind me gently... :)
