And what is WRONG with being a geek? Geeks make good money, and without geeks we wouldn't have babble. Plus, some geeks (like yours truly - yes, I AM a geek) are just simply adorable.
Now, for some of us, this time of depression is also a time when we are arithmetically challenged. I have a Master's degree in Mathematics, but I DO have trouble figuring out the tip these days. If I have to add two numbers together and there are more than 6 digits total, I need help. I thought that we were supposed to be compensating for our difficulties, so that we could lead "normal" lives (whatever those are...). Well, for some of us, that means having ready access to a calculator.
I'm ready to go to KMart to get one right now. But my real problem with that is that I really can't tell time with digital watches - I really like the face with the hands - it gives more of a "feeling" of what time it is. With digital watches you have to keep doing *arithmetic* to figure out how much time until something etc. Although, maybe if I had a digital calculator watch, I could look at the time and use the calculator to figure out how late I am... Hmmmmmmmm
