I gave the date a mixed review. It could have been worse. At least I didn't comment on his appearance or anything terribly personal like that.

It's someone I knew from work, and I may well run across him again. I was hoping not to lose the friendship at least. I do enjoy staying in touch with him just to talk about career stuff.

It's just plain embarrassing that he'll know I was calling it a date and talking it over with a friend. It was kind of ambiguous as to whether it was a date or just a friend thing anyway. Now he'll know I was sizing up his potential.

The main thing is I can't believe I did that and I feel like an idiot! First the email error, then the rambling phone message to compound it and expose more of my embarrassment. Sheesh.

So everyone... check that recipient in those personal emails! Then double-check it.
