GG,

I agree - the cute scruffy dog look is hard to beat! The dog I had when I was in middle and high school was a scruffy mutt - some kind of terrier mix. His name was Jake - that was the name he had when we got him, so we didn't name him, but "Jake" suited him fine. He was such a good boy.

My mom, though, can come up with some of the strangest dog names - some examples: the dog we had when I was a toddler - Jawa, as in the characters from Star Wars. We then had our first husky whose name was Kryton, which I believe was named for a robot on "Buck Rogers" (do you see a theme here???), then, after Kryton was stolen, we got Curser, who was named after, you guessed it, the curser on a computer - actually, it was the name of the 'pet' or something on the short-lived sci fi 80s show "Automan."

Now my parents have a dachshund/chi mix, and his name is Doogie. And they have a dalmatian named Lucy. Tho' they call her "moose" more often than anything.

I'll post some more dog pics...

I love the "Daily" story! How long have you had her?

P
