Post Depression Testosterone levels.

Posted by Omega Woman on January 6, 2004, at 14:13:34

I love PsychoBabble, it seems easy to talk about anything...I know this is'nt really relevant to Psychology but do us Men get some sort of extra testosterone boost around age 30, like some sort of last stand against our cells and power starting to diminish ?

I mean I thought I was fully developed, but I just noticed in the past couple of years, my voice has gone deep to baritone, cheekbones higher and nose bigger, Shoulders have become more broad and dense without training. Not gradual but like a big change, I got a shock when I looked in a mirror, I did'n recognise my own body. And when I had a photo taken, my face looked a centimetre longer, than previously. Also I can feel the testosterone buzzing, being hyper vigilant, mean, stronger in opinion and very lazy in the sense of trying to force shortcuts through everything mentally.

I've talked about depression and testosterone levels before, and i've lost my depressions...and also my anxiety due to zopiclone, perhaps Anxiety inhibits testosterone, it would make sense. Still whats going on ? is this something that happens anyway post age 30. Nobody told me this would happen. One last masssive surge..
