poet -
i have decided that wrapping paper is a waste of resources and money. i cannot count the number of times relatives have received presents wrapped in newspapers and duct tape, or plastic grocery bags.
so you can try the faux-environmental stance.
or, since you have the paper already, instead of wrapping properly try making a bundle out of the present (where you gather all the paper at the top). this covers ragged paper nicely. affix an extra bow to the chew-holes.
then again everybody knows i'm nuts so it's ok if i wrap presents like a mental patient, they tend to find it charming :p
