Don't panic just yet, things can still work out for you. Here are a few ideas:
1: Just because you were denied benefits the first time you applied, you can still apply again. You should be able to get another evaluation by another doc. This is something worth fighting for. Maybe you can ask the last Doc why he doesn't think you are disabled. Some conditions are almost automatic, and others need proof before they can be determined to be disabling.
2: There is no need for you to be out of meds. Ever. If you can't afford to have a prescription filled, talk to your doc, and ask for samples. If your doc can't give them to you, then go to the local community mental health people and request to be treated there. They usually have samples of the meds, and they can usually help through the medicaid process.
3: If you still can't get your meds, then get in touch with your local welfare office, and they will help you with your meds.
