That about sums it up. I may never buy another pair of jeans. There are just too many variables-- waist size, hip size and shape, thigh circumference, waist length, swayback degree, leg length, etc etc etc. It's the one garment that should seriously be custom-tailored.
Ever resourceful, I've changed my style to consist mainly of skirts. So many fewer variables there-- just hip and waist, and sometimes length. Plus if you can't find good ones, you have some chance of actually being able to sew them yourself.
