i have to say i'm feeling a little punchy from all the high drama. sometimes i feel like we're just tryin' to work on our little crossword puzzle and somebody's gotta keep upsetting the table.
i know it's far more complicated than that, of course. i believe we all have valid points to make, even in dissent. at the end of the day, though, it *is* bob's site. if i don't like his rules, then i have the option to just take my toys and go home.
i guess not everyone has that degree of restraint. or maybe it's just an attempt at wild, hyperbolic humor. a briefly posted comment said something about not taking this too seriously.
i see their point, and even laughed at one crack that was made yesterday, but for the most part i feel that it is serious when it's upsetting to the group spirit; not to mention extra work for bob, who can't be impervious to the harangue which has been so hateful in tone.
hmmm...watch me get a PBC for defaming an extremely uncivil post that was only even up for ten minutes from a blocked poster while trying to defend dr. bob. now *that* would be funny! i'll just try that sentence again: i feel that the tone of some of these posts were uncivil toward dr. bob (and dinah too).
i've considered posting some of my thoughts on this topic on the admin board, but i don't know if i want to expend what little energy i have on it. also, i fear it would only leave me open to attacks from all and sundry, which i definitely do not need.
