I'd that about Alfred Hitchcock, Stephen King does the same thing.
I really did wonder about "Ponette" and what you said confirmed or 'reawakend' I guess, my fears.I remember seeing an interview with a child star from the forties, and they did terrible things to get him to cry, like tell him his dog was dead.
And I hoped that kind of thing was banned, well it probably is, but when I saw Ponette I really had to wonder. Uggh, That changes my feelings about the whole thing now.
