vision and emotion

Posted by Eddie Sylvano on August 26, 2003, at 15:55:28

I've worn glasses for twenty years (since I was 10), and am going to get contact lenses next week. It got me wondering... could the change from a world view obscured by dirty lenses, fuzzy peripheral vision, the constant presence of my frames in my field of view, and the pressure on my nose and ears also affect my mood? People weren't meant to wear glasses, so it reasons that my brain would be a little happier au natural. Anyone else make the leap to contacts? I just hope I can tolerate them well enough to use them.
