Well, any of you who've seen me post on babble for the past year have heard my tales of being on disability and constant poverty, and being without food,and no help being available. It was said so often I got tired of hearing myself talk about it.
Its finally been acknowledged. I live in Canada
and I was watching the news this afternoon, the situation for women on disability/welfare (in the province I live in exclusively) is so horrific
that the United Nations is actually holding a conference on it.
I'm not expecting anything to change, its just amazing to have it recognized. I know some people find it hard to believe that in such a wealthy country things could really be so terrible.
Of course my parents will still think its my budgeting, (sigh)
