I'm hoping my friend fits under "Psychic opening," which is when people become sensitive to their intuitive and spiritual abilities -- but also tend to experience a great deal of fear. I can say that people in my family who are definitely sane have had experiences similar to this -- we've all seen spirits in childhood.
I feel like there is really a fine line here. I'm trying to be supportive while keeping an eye on her.
