Well, I don't know who is old and who is new here. If I know a poster by one name and that person disappears, they are lost to me. I guess for me, I have a relationship with ABCD and when ABCD is gone, that's it. I may establish a relationship with their new identity, or may not. I guess it would depend on whether they are writing in a thread I'm also posting to and we find we have something that connects us.
I am clueless about who the new names are. And, I regret that, it's sort of like losing a friend. But, if someone wants to change their posting name, it doesn't matter to me beyond whatever loss I might feel at losing a friend.
Wait.....I did figure out when dreamerz changed her name. With her very distinct posting style, combined with the absence of posts from dreamerz, it dawned on me one day that it might be the same person.
