I think the therapist said that more for your wife's benefit than for yours... Of course you are right about the situation, but the therapist cannot seem to be taking sides. So rest assured that you are on the right course. Does the therp seem to be skilled at these kinds of problems? It's a very delicate situation, and your wife may try to turn and run away from it eventually (when the going gets tough, as it will get), so I just cross my fingers and light some candles, and hope you are going to see real results, and that your wife can get to the other side of her trauma-filled past...much love,
