Pax-Meister & Dinah & Susan,

I have been unable to post much in the last couple of days, but Pax's sentiments are so "on the mark," as they say... Susan and Dinah, thank you for keeping the conversation going... You both are very wise.
I think the sharing that's gone on in this thread is something I've never quite seen before, even though there have been many intense ones over the years. It's been very moving, and I think a positive reality-check and a help to Pax. The focus should be on the child right now. Adults have more options and more choices; kids just have to do what they're told. So their dependency makes them vulnerable, as we've seen in so many of the stories we have shared. Pax, I see that unfortunately, your wife's choice has been to ignore her responsibility to herself and to her child. Maintaining one's mental health is KEY, or we'll lose our kids one way or another - by alienating them, or frightening them, etc. I'm sorry but glad at the same time that you can feel supported in your decisions, Pax, and that you have the sense to at least take your little one out and go do what you want to do and HAVE FUN. The time you spend with her will be her salvation.
I wish you peace, Peace-Voice, Voice of Peace...

love, Wendy

> Thank you, kind dears. This just points out that we CAN use this forum for positive emoting w/o even the hint of a civility warning from the good Doctor. In numbers, there is strength. Organized strength becomes support; support develops into resolve. Hope. Three strands together are not easily torn. Be well.
