Jay,
So sorry about your near loss. That is terrifying. Your niece is a lucky young woman to have you in her life, especially since you will probably make a difference to her whole life by helping her get effective meds and therapy. How many of us here would love to go back to 19 if we had faith the next 30 years might feel good? What a gift to her!
Also, I want to make sure you take to heart your own words; they apply to you, too. I often find myself saying things to others that are warm and caring, and then move on to beating myself up. Did not want you to do that! Read this:
> don't forget so much of the goodness you have in your hearts, and let that be your shining star in the really dark times. Especially when you are in the "gutter", and it seems there is no hope...no hope at all. There *is* hope, and it is that special and often secret place inside of you that makes it that way. ...please realize how much good you have done and how much you have inside yourselves.

> Peace, hope, love, and happiness to and for you all...Got it now, Jay?
