Hey... that above post just really reminded me of something that a friend of mine is going through. He hears voices all the time if he's not on his medication (Risperdal). Like not "scary" or "dangerous" voices... he just hears people talking about him all the time. He said it's kind of like they're making fun of him. He'll hear them coming from the TV set when he's watching TV, from the radio when he's listening to the Radio, and at night when he's falling asleep they talk so loudly that they keep him up. Right now he's been "voiceless" for about 3 years and the only medication that he's taking is Risperdal and, I believe, Paxil. He says that with those two he's at complete peace and feels pretty good.I remember him telling me that once he started taking the Risperdal that the voices stopped within a month. That the dosage that he needed to keep the voices quiet was enough to knock him right out cold for about 12 hours a day for the first 2-3 weeks too. And that when he was awake, if they were bad, he knew that it was just in his head and would find something relaxing to do till they went away.
