Thank you so much for your info. I can definitely relate to you & the insomnia. My normal bed time now is 3 or 4, sometimes even 5 am. I have tried all kinds of things over the counter, Benadryl (Nytol, but its the same thing), different herbal teas, meds, things like that. I have tried trazadone, dalmane, restoril, ambien, valium, for my insomnia. If they work, its for like one or two days. Then they never work again. Even, if its been months since I've tried one. My medicine cabinet is packed with this stuff. So of course, every great once in a while I'll give one a try again. Like the Ambien, when I first took it, wow, it knocked me out, I woke up feeling refreshed. I was supposed to take that for 10 days. By the 2nd night, nothing, it was like taking an aspirin or something. After a few months, I tried Ambien again, nothing. It's like that with everything. But I do take Klonopin 1mg twice a day. I've been doing that for almost 2 years now. Maybe that has caused me to build up a tolerance to all of that stuff.
My body is starting to get so tired. I'm getting really dark circles under my eyes. They are always blood shot. Last week, my brother asked me what illegal drug I have been taking. I am looking that bad!!! Of course I had just started the Adderall too, so I was kind of feeling/acting like I was on cocaine or something. I have enough problems right now, don't need anymore. So I haven't even considered illegal drugs. Don't get me wrong, I've experimented in the past. I tend to have an addictive personality to anything I like, so I stay away from anything illegal!!
I go to see my pdoc on Monday, I'm going to tell her how serious the insomnia has become. I will mention Seroquel, or anything similar. Since I'm taking Adderall XR now for my ADD, I wonder if I can take the two together? I do believe I am bipolar and have ADD both.
It's great that you have something that works for you!!! Sounds like you were going through a tough time there for a while.
Once again, thank you. Your reply means a lot to me!!!
