Syringe and Kath--
I kind of liked "witch chair", per Kath's list of possibilities for w/c. :- ) I imagine if I used a w/c, I'd like to call it that from time to time. Kind of has an air of power!
Syringe, I was actually feeling quite proud of myself for figuring out what w/c stand for, having seen an earlier post of yours saying you had MS. You don't mind me patting myself on the back for that, do you?
Interesting how the new term is mobility chair and not wheel chair--it does still have wheels, right? Although maybe it is in anticipation of technology to come in the future that might move beyond wheels?
I imagine that what ever term is used colloquially by the people who use the chairs is probably the best term, unless there is a kind of in-group and out-group language thing. Any thoughts?
