Thanks for that post. Phosphoric Acid is also very bad for your teeth. It's probably worse than sugar, and phosphoric acid combined with sugar in Coke - AND MOST OTHER SODAS - destroys the enamel on your teeth. If you must drink soda, brush your teeth as soon as possible, even if you have diet soda, because phosphoric acid is in diet soda, too. If you can't brush your teeth right away, at least rinse your mouth out with water. It also helps to brush with baking soda because the base can help neutralize a little of the acid. I think that your post is important for everyone, but it's especially important for people on psychotropic medications because most of those meds cause dry mouth, which also promotes tooth decay -- A triple whammy: dry mouth, phosphoric acid and sugar. A great way to keep your dentist in business!
