As far as diagnosis goes, after years of searching for answers to what was wrong with me, or why I did the things I did, I came to what was to me an amazing conclusion. The diagnostic system is woefully inadequate to explain most of us. People on the bipolar spectrum can have as many faces as there are people on the bipolar spectrum. If you throw in co-morbidity (and there usually is comordity), diagnosis becomes a very poor tool indeed. Only good for deciding whether to use mood stabilizers or antidepressants or antipsychotics.
A pinch of this diagnosis, a dab of that, and still we humans can't be pigeonholed. You are Dreamer, and you happen to have mood cycles and respond well to mood stabilizers.
Keep holding on, Dreamer. And keep in touch. (Will you have internet access at home anytime soon?)
