Y'know, there's something about totally relaxing for a half hour under those heat lamps. I think there would be similar effect with a massage, but still it's not the same. I think there's got to be something about the light, like you mentioned. I agree that it's a big mood booster.

I've attempted some sort of compromise, doing the fake tan lotion-thing which makes me feel good and tan. Then I still go outside with sunblock and soak up the sunshine.

Still, I agree there's something euphoric about those tanning beds. I don't know why either, but I sure know what you're talking about. I used to lay there and by the time I was done I had talked myself up to feeling like I could conquer any of my problems.
