> I am a stay-at-home-mom with two boys, 2 and 4. Lately I have been getting really stressed out and bellowing at them (not in a scary way, LOL, but I don't like that I am losing my patience). I have found that the days I do best on are when (a) I get most of my work done early in the day, so if I hit a wall in the afternoon I am not sitting there with work to do still (e.g., I make sure my dinner preps are done earely in the day or I make dinner in the crockpot), (b) I follow some basic routines (e.g., see: http://www.flylady.org), and (c) I exercise. I pretty much manage to handle my depression without meds if I can exercise regularly, like 5 times a week for 45-60 minutes a pop. I'll go for long stretches where 3 times a week will keep depression away, but you need to do the 5x week until you build up an endorphin base.
