Screaming anger

Posted by alii on May 22, 2002, at 17:20:51

>>>>Righteous indignation is a source of power and energy. Repressed anger, on the other hand, is depressing, debilitating and a common source of psychosomatic pain, especially headaches, stomach and bowel pain.

It is frightening to feel like you are going to loose control or explode, but the actual experience is powerfully healing. Make sure you have a safe and supported environment for your early anger work.

You might hit a large pool of feelings other than anger just under the surface of the anger itself; this might be what you are unconsciously most afraid of.

You will also, probably, open up a "Pandora's box" of messages and programming related to the anger. This is normal, and you will work it through in time.

Remember, anger and rage are just feelings, they are not, in and of themselves, bad. If you feel anger or rage there are undoubtedly very good reasons for that.

Anger is your authentic self saying, "I'm not being treated as I deserve!" It's about time that someone got a chance to scream that out into the universe ... which is a much bigger place for it than the body it's currently housed in.-----Caryn StarDancer<<<<

Consider this my scream.
