Thanks for the update- good to hear things going more smoothly. Personally, I dont think there is any kind of 'contract' re giving and receiving support here, and its certainly fine just to drop in occassionally- whatever suits you!
I feel more comfortable with myself now that I am fairly vegetarian (I eat fish sometimes, on the pretext that I could kill a fish, but not a chicken or mammal)...
Vegan diets sound more complicated (I've just been looking at http://www.vegsoc.org/info/vegan-nutrition.html), but it looks like they can meet all your nutritional needs, too.
