It is a shock and frightening beyond description to discover that you are seriously ill. As I understand it, you will probably go through the grief process - I don't remember the order or all the specific stages but they include anger and bargaining (usually with God),with the last stage being acceptance.I would put all other concerns aside and concentrate on finding out as much about your condition as you can. Teach yourself so that you can make educated decisions. Find out the things you can do to improve your chances, including homeopathic remedies. I DO NOT advise ignoring professional medical advice, but it does appear that alternative practices may be used in addition to tradional Western medicine, such as acupuncture or hypnotherapy to relieve pain. I would advise counseling in any case in order to help you deal with the stress.
