Funny John... I can tell you the reason. Like a friend explained once - sex is a participant sport, not a spectator sport. I loved that explanation!
< By the way I think its interesting in social mores or whatever that people will talk about going to the movies or what meal they had but they dont discuss their sexual activity in the same casual way. For example, saying how your weekend was, yea we went downtown for a movie and then went to Blahblahs for dinner and then went home and did it (or had a steaming hot sex session etc etc).
