My friends:
First, I want to thank everyone for their kind words and support. I have been told so many times that it's terrible when a parent loses a child, and I know this to be true (my brother Joe was murdered in 1994 and this broken my parent's heart). But I want to tell you now that losing your parents is equally as hard. No matter how distant you may think you are from your folks, the truth is that you are not. They're your best friends. Please don't forget this.
As if I don't have enough hardship in my life as it is, I am now faced with a greedy, conniving older sister who, for the past 16 years, emotionally abused both my mother and father. Now she is sticking her greasy little hand out hoping to cash in on my parent's estate. This woman is a pathological liar and a thief and I formally disown her as my sister. She says she reads this board and I hope she's reading this now. I did have a "special" message addressed to her, but I decided to wait.
Again, my friends, thanks for your help. The real "test" of my strength is just beginning.
